The public must be satisfied that Oswald was the assassin; that he did not have confederates who are still at large; and that evidence was such that he would have been convicted at trial. Unfortunately the facts on Oswald seem about too pat- too obvious (Marxist, Cuba, Russian wife, etc.) The Dallas police have put out statements on the Communist conspiracy theory and it was they who were in charge when he was shot and thus silenced (â€Å"The JFK Assassination† 2.) The assassination of John F. Kennedy has been a topic of debate for many years. Tippit (â€Å"The JFK Assassination† 1.). Soon after Oswald was arrested, and whilst in interrogation Oswald claimed that he was framed (Vollbach, Michael 1.). There is no documentation or recordings of this interrogation, however (Vollbach, Michael 1.). While in custody Oswald took a Paraffin test, which detects gunpowder residue. The results of the test showed that Oswald had not fired the Mannlicher-Caracano rifle found on the sixth floor of the Texas Book Depository (Vollbach, Michael 1.). The Mannlicher-Caracano rifle that was found was a notoriously poorly made and inaccurate rifle (Bisaro, Anna 1.). During a transfer to different prison facility Lee Harvey Oswald was assassinated by Jack Ruby (â€Å"The JFK Assassination† 1.). Jack Ruby was a local club owner who was known to have ties to organized crime (â€Å"The JFK Assassination† 2.) . The CIA was acknowledged to have ties to organized crime, particularly when they were attempting to assassinate Fidel Castro (â€Å"Why the CIA has confessed to a Cover-Up in the JFK Assassination 1.). On November 29, 1963 the Warren Commission was formed to investigate JFK’s assassination (â€Å"The JFK Assassination† 2.). The commission’s body members were Senators Russell and Cooper, Representatives Ford and Boggs, former High Commissioner of Germany John McCloy, and Allen Dulles, CIA director for several years until after the failed Bay of Pigs

America was calm at first as they held the belief that Vietnam would serve as a barrier to communism. Unfortunately, when communism kept spreading, America panicked. American troops were sent into Vietnam and the citizens of America were lied to about the reason for the presence of the troops in Vietnam. The years 1964 to 1975 were characterized by the negative effects of the Vietnam war on American society and how they heightened social, political and economic tensions by drafting Americans, creating and repealing the Gulf of Tonkins, uncontrollable war spending, and the protests towards Nixon and his lying. The social relationships in America were already tense due to the inequalities handed out to a large portion of American inhabitants but the relationships worsened during the Vietnam War. The significant twentieth century has made Canada, Canada. Several events in the 1900s have had a huge impact on the creation of Canada and Canadian autonomy. These events have put Canada through many stages and have created this great nation that exists today. A strong sense of Canadian nationalism has also become present in Canadians overtime (Marked, 2004), and the desire to become independent from Britain has only grown. For the most part of the century, Canadians felt proud to be British subjects rather than proud to be Canadian (Free, 2007). Throughout the twentieth century, this mindset had slowly changed. Through political laws and battles, through social events of the time, and through the economical hardships and profits, Canada has been defined as a nation. Of the many political events of the twentieth century, the three points discussed here have defined Canada. These events have also showed its independence towards Britain, and internationally. The Statute of Westminster, a law passed by the parliament of Britain in 1931, gave Canada its legislative independence (Hillmer, 2012). This law stated that the British Parliament no longer had the legal right to create laws for its colonies (especially Canada), giving Canada the authority to create laws for itself. Canada could also modify and alter past laws made by Britain, or get rid of them if the law was not wanted. The passing of the Statute of Westminster politically separated Canada from Britain because Britain pretty much had no more control over its dominions and colonies, through the force of law and politics. Before the law came into play, Britain had control over legislation and had authority that surpassed any authority of those governing in the colonies. Canadas independence was pretty much given to them during this event, but this event was significant as it began to isolate Canada from the motherland. The Persons Case in Alberta had also somewhat isolated Canada from Britain, but more had it defined Canada as its own nation. The Persons Case consisted of Albertas Famous Five, five women who fought for the rights of women and for women to be recognized as â€Å"persons† in society (Swc, 2009). This was a big moment in Canadian history because women were still considered very inferior to the men of the time. With the political fight and success of these women, they granted Canadian women to be considered persons and they fought for a womans seat in the  senate. Women were beginning to become people now, as they were starting to fight for themselves. The Persons Case allowed women to have independence. Moreover, this event led to the definition of the nation that we call Canada today. Defining this nation was also done by the famous Battle of Vimy Ridge in World War I, led by a Canadian himself, General Arthur Currie. The battle was such a success that even today, a monument was built in France to commemorate Canadians and this great battle and effort (Veterans, 2013). The battle was a great success, but only because of the immense planning and preparations the soldiers had to go through. It was the first time all Canadian division fought together as one, and as Brigadier-General A.E. Ross said, â€Å"in those few minutes, I witnessed the birth of a nation† (Cook, 2012). The Battle of Vimy Ridge was a defining moment for Canada because it was a victory for Canadians. Furthermore, the winning of the battle had won Canada a seat at the Paris Peace Talks in 1918, after World War I had ended. This seat represented Canada as a separate nation during a political event; apart from the homeland Britain. Politically, Canada has been through a lot and has been defined through these events. Canada has not only been defined politically though, but also through social means. Throughout the 1900s, Canada has been moulded and created to become what it is today, even through social events. On July 1st, 1980, Canada had adopted its own national anthem, the one we sing today, â€Å"O Canada† (Pch, 2013). â€Å"O Canada† had replaced the British royal anthem, â€Å"God Save the Queen†, which obviously shows Canadian autonomy. By adopting its own anthem and replacing that of the homelands, this proves that Canada has become more independent and is slowly becoming its own nation. 2 years later, Canada changes the name of its independence day, â€Å"Dominion Day†, to a new name that suited it better,†Canada Day† (Pch, 2008). This was also a great act of independence for Canada. It signified that Canada was not just a dominion of Britain anymore; it was its own nation, its own country, the country of Canada. People had to vote and fight for â€Å"O Canada† and â€Å"Canada Day† to be official, so the desires of the people also made Canada more of an independent nation. Also, after World War I, Canada had joined the League of Nations, an organization created during the Paris Peace Talks to help resolve disputes and promote peace (Veatch, 2012). Canada joined as its own nation, which  made it become internationally recognized as an independent nation. In the League of Nations, Canada got the opportunity to vote and the ability to make social decisions with the other countries and discuss among them. This demonstrates that Canada is separate from Britain and is slowly being recognized apart from Britain. Another way Canada was defined was through the Canadian Citizenship Act, in 1947, and also in the revised version of said act in 1977 (Young, 1997). Before the act, a Canadian citizenship did not exist. This act gave Canadians the title of being a Canadian citizen, rather than being titled with being a British subject. Canadians finally became Canadians. Everyone who was in Canada belonged to Canada, not so much to Britain. This was a huge social event as after the law was passed, it united Canada and its people together as a part of one, independent nation. This independent nation of Canada has also been through lots of economic good times and hardships, as they contributed to the autonomy and definition of the nation. NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), was the agreement that Canada made with the United States and Mexico in 1994, which stated that they could trade goods amongst each other without tariffs (Nafta, 2012). This greatly contributed to Canadas economy, as these countries traded with each other even more. Even if NAFTA was only present in Canada for 6 years of the twentieth century, these six years were affected by it, defining Canada to what it is today. NAFTA has created many job opportunities for Canada, gave Canadians a choice and variety of goods to choose from, and generated economic flow within Canada (Markville, 2011). Also generating economic flow was probably the main economical occurrence in the twentieth century, the rise and fall of the 1920s and 1930s, leading up to the Great Depression. The mid 1920s were very beneficial and good to most of Canada. After recovering from the economic hard times from after World War 1, parts of Canada saw economic good times (Markville, 2008). People in Canada could afford many things that they could not before, and also had much more time for leisure activities because of all the technological advances of the time (Ascension, 2012). Then in 1929, the New York Stock Market had crashed and had started the Great Depression (Ascension, 2012). The Great Depression was a huge tragedy leaving many people in poverty and in bad times and bad conditions. This event definitely helped shape Canada  to what it is today, as Canadians now know how to deal with these types of situations. The rise and fall had also helped Canada become more autonomous because it had recovered, fallen, then dealt with its problems on its own, with minimal direct help from Britain. Later on, Canada had also shown its independence by declaring war on Germany (during WW2) 7 days after Britain had in 1939 (Lucas, 2006). Declaring war after Britain signifies that Canada is not just fighting in the war because of Britain, but because they want to fight as their own nation. World War II had also taken Canada out of the Great Depression, as war times restored and rejuvenated the economy. Overall, Canadas economy has been through many ups and downs, but all in all has made it independent from other countries and has defined Canada as its own. Canada had become its own nation throughout all of the twentieth century. This time period has given Canada its independence and has defined Canada. Politically, Canada has experienced the Statute of Westminster, The Persons Case, and The Battle of Vimy Ridge, and all have showed signs of independence and definition of the nation. No matter what Canada has been through, it has gotten through it all successfully. He writes her name upon the strand and when washed away the tide preys on the narrators pain by talking away his lovers name. This shows his helplessness to control the passing of time which upsets him as he claims that their love shall live forever. Spencer uses rhythmic pentameter to tie the rhythm of the poem to the motion of the waves washing in and out on the strand. This is used in every quatrain to link together the whole sonnet. He also uses alliteration, for example w when the waves washed it away to create a sound like the actual tide washing in and out. Spencer uses this alliteration to accentuate the imagery of the sonnet. Shakespeare uses descriptive flattery and compliments, calling the subject lovely to show his affection. However, he subtly accentuates the attention towards himself by using iambic pentameter, putting I in a main beat and thee in the weaker beat between showing that the couple are more apart from each other than together. To His Coy Mistress is set in three stanzas, each of a different tone. In the first he flatters her by using imagery to tell her how much more she deserves than he does to make him seem like a genuine man. However, this stanza is set in the conditional tense and is all an if, and so not defiantly or ever going to happen. He describes her to be by the Indian Ganges side and himself by the tide of Humber as she is so much better than himself. The narrator uses hyperbole to prove to his loved one that if they had world enough time, they would spend all their time together . An hundred years should go to praise Thine eyes and on thy forehead gaze. Marvell also uses enjambment in the final stanza to speed up the sentences making them seem more urgent, this accentuates the stanza which is meaning to arouse the lover. Sonnets to Delia also flatters his loved one by comparing her to a rose, which is symbolically known as the beautiful symbol of love and lust. However, this is a disguise for the real purpose of the poem which is to tell his loved one that her beauty shall fade. The narrator tells his loved one that unlike the rose being able to come back to life the next spring, her blush will fade and her beauty will not be able to be revive the next spring, so he pressures her to not waste her treasure in vain but instead sleep with him now. Both poems have the same theme and exploration that love should not be wasted with vanity and coyness but spent by the youth while love is still a tender bud. The narrators also use persuasive language to insist to the girl that losing her virginity now is acceptable because if she keeps it preserved, she will die a virgin and only death will be able to take her virginity. All four poems have one thing in common, which is the theme of love and time. Each poet has written his poem to show his adoration and want for his lover. All three poets have a different way to portray his feelings, which creates originality of the poem. It is even more difficult when you arent the one writing, only guiding a team through the process. Step 1: Let your writers write! How do you motivate a team to produce better content? Or sometimes, how do you get them to produce any content at all? Bark, Beg, and Badger Usually, our first inclination is our worst. Hopefully we get better as we guide our team over time, but that doesnt stop us from badgering our writers a bit too much in the beginning.  We send reminder emails.  Sarcastic hints. Eye rolls. Ownership One of my go-to management theories for nearly everything has been the principal of ownership. When writers feel a sense of ownership on a project, they become more willing to do amazing things. They work late, they put in the extra time, and most importantly they take pride in what they do because they arent just doing it for you. They are doing it for themselves. Giving your writing team ownership in what they do gives their words power.This is powerful motivation, but it doesnt happen by accident. How do we motivate our teams? How do we give them a sense of ownership? 1. Let Them In Too many editors assume that their writers cannot be trusted. This is insulting, and makes grown adults feel like a child. Great editors move beyond this, and trust their writers first by letting them in on what we are doing. If they simply cant be trusted, then they probably shouldnt be on your team (and that is a different problem entirely).  This means that you should make them a part of your big decisions. Their opinion needs to count. It also means that your job is not to lord over them. Rather, your job is to delegate big goals, and then get out of the details and out of their way. 2. Globalization can be viewed in a smaller context as â€Å"living in a small community. † In this community, you have neighbours of different races, and origins, speaking different languages, and accustomed to different cultures. Even though we live together in a single neighbourhood, the word that always get attached with globalization is different – being different. There are a lot of efforts to unify people of different races, opening the communication between this people further, so that they are able to interact with other people from different parts of the world At the end of the day, we realize that we are different; that we as members of a global community surely have differences with our neighbours. However, this difference or uniqueness that we have shouldn’t pull us down. Having a different skin color or a different set of beliefs doesn’t put any of us higher or lower than other people. It is our cultural identity, but it doesn’t determine any rank or social position. It is considered as a gift that we should treasure. Being different is synonymous to being unique, one way or the other. Through that we are, we are able to establish who we are, so that we can tell ourselves apart from other people or other races. It is something we should be proud of, something that empowers the culture that we came from. It gives us something to boast with other cultures, which we know is unique in our culture alone. With this at hand, we move again to unify everyone in this world through globalization. We are able to come up with discoveries which are relevant in various aspects of the human being. This is all because of our awareness that we are different, that we have our cultural identity. Through this, efforts on unifying the people wouldn’t be that hand to accomplish anymore.

This will mean management absorbing the cost of most operations; hence this will have a multiplier effect of reducing profit. These economic factors are largely outside the control of the company, but their outcome on performances and the marketing mix can be profound. SOCIAL FACTORS   These includes population changes, aging population, differences in national culture and health issues. People are more conscious of health; their consumption attitude is changing drastically for they have freewill to choose. Mr Biggs, being a socially responsible member of the community in Africa; they support schools – both secondary and tertiary institutions in their social programs. Everyday of the year, Mr Biggs always make something exciting happening because of their creating relationships. By supporting young people in schools, it create more social intimacy between Mr Biggs and the students for younger people tends to visit the restaurants more than the aged ones because they have higher consumption power than the older ones. It is on record that Mr Biggs gives out bursary to poor students from Primary, Secondary, Polytechnic and University levels.
